City Lifeline Deploys Open Access Carrier Connectivity with Next Connex, Increasing Carrier Choice

City Lifeline, the central London colocation data centre, has today announced a strategic partnership with Next Connex to deliver open access networking to its customers. Customers will benefit from exceptional network connectivity, allowing connection to many more carriers than the 22 carriers already present in City Lifeline’s central London data centre.

Eliminating the need to maintain a costly presence in London’s main carrier exchanges, the multiple ultra-low latency 10Gb waves into the data centre will allow City Lifeline to connect with more than 200 carriers available at Telehouse North, including LINX and LONAP. A redundant path to Telehouse North via Telecity Harbour Exchange provides full redundancy within a highly secure and resilient network.

Commenting on the partnership Roger Keenan, managing director of City Lifeline, said: “Thanks to the help of Next Connex, we can now provide our customers with a vastly increased choice of carriers. As a high quality colocation data centre that was recently awarded the ISO27001 Information Security Management Certification, we can now offer our customers all the benefits of this partnership in addition to resilient power and cooling, and our central London location.”

“We are excited to be partnering with such an established and respected name in the data centre industry like City Lifeline – our clients now have access to one of London’s most reliable sites for their colocation requirements, supported by our resilient network infrastructure,” said Bob Griffiths, managing director of Next Connex.
