City Lifeline has undertaken the next stage in its evolution by becoming a part of Redcentric plc. Redcentric is a well-known managed IT services group, publicly quoted on the London Stock Exchange on the AIM market. Redcentric already has it’s own data centres in Harrogate and Reading, and City Lifeline’s facilities in central London, complement these well.
The services City Lifeline customers receive will be unaffected by the change of ownership and the same City Lifeline staff will continue to support and deliver services as they do now.
Redcentric provides an extensive range of managed IT services, with 500 staff and revenues of over £100 million per annum. Redcentric’s focus is on customer experience which is supported by a rolling investment programme for all its services. City Lifeline, as part of the Redcentric group, will now benefit from those investments.
This is simply another stage in the long history of City Lifeline - from a disaster recovery centre for City financial dealing rooms in the 1990’s, to a major centre for voice telecoms in the 2000’s, to an integral part of an important and fast-growing managed services group in the 2010’s. Redcentric is a great company and will provide a great future for City Lifeline and all its customers.
