City Lifeline is Central London's leading independent carrier neutral colocation data centre

Welcome to our new website

Welcome to City Lifeline’s new website! It’s been a long time in the making, and has taken many, many hours of development and management time. We hope you like it and that it does its job of informing both existing and potential new customers about City Lifeline’s carrier neutral colocation data centre in Central London and about colocation and data centres in general.

One advantage City Lifeline has, as a professional colocation data centre, is that we can colocate our own kit. So this website is running on its own server, with dual power feeds from two independent N+1 UPS pairs and with City Lifeline’s own dual-fed 100MB uncontended multi-homed Internet Transit service connecting it to the world. And right in Central London, where all the fibres are and where latency is at a minimum. So it ought to be fast and reliable!

For the first time, we have incorporated a Blog. This is a bit of an experiment. It’s a moderated Blog, which means that any comments posted are automatically sent to the Originator of the first article. The Originator then decides whether to publish. Just add anything with at least a little degree of relevance to colocation or data centres, post it and see what happens. For existing City Lifeline customers, there is a Login page. Behind this will eventually be the whole Manual about how to operate within Lifeline House – how to gain access authority, how to remove equipment, how to order cable and so on. Most of this isn’t there yet, because it involves bringing together a lot of disparate bits and forming them into a single document and it takes time to do that. But it will be there later this year.

We’ve learnt a lot from doing this. We hope you, our existing and potential customers, find that the effort was worthwhile. Welcome to the new City Lifeline website!
