The British government has designated the area of London around the Old Street Roundabout as a high-tech growth area, called "Silicon Roundabout" by the popular press. The government is encouraging companies to migrate to the area and establish a self-sustaining "cluster" of high technology companies in the area. Both City Lifeline and DataCenterDynamics have offices close to Silicon Roundabout.
